UBC offers the Certificate Program in Real Property Assessment (CPRA) which consists of 5 courses. Please check www.realestate.ubc.ca/rpa for more information.

UBC also offers Diploma program in Urban Land Economics (DULE) which has 4 specializations: Appraisal, Assessment, Management, and Development. You can find more information on the program at www.realestated.ubc.ca/dule .

You may take these as standalone courses, or finish the rest of the courses (3 year limit for certificate program; 7 year limit for diploma program) to earn a credential. Please review the course descriptions and outlines at http://www.sauder.ubc.ca/re_creditprogram/programs/descriptions.cfm to determine if the courses meet your needs.

You must start a course at the beginning of a given semester and finish a course on a set examination date. The multiple choice assignments can be submitted online and any written projects can be faxed or mailed to our office for grading. In regard to your final exam, an exam center will be set up for you in your area (For instance, at a community center or local college). You will be asked to select your desired exam center at the time of registration. The exact time and location of the exam will be posted online 10 days prior to the exam date.

All courses leading to the BUSI courses are offered to start in September (Winter Term I) and January (Winter Term II). A limited number of courses are offered in June (Summer Term I). Please see www.realestate.ubc.ca/offerings for more information on course offering. Most of the BUSI courses are 13 weeks in duration. The amount of time required to complete a program depends on how many courses you can take each semester. Please see www.realestate.ubc.ca/dates for more info on important semester dates and deadlines. You can take up to 5 concurrently as long as you meet prerequisite requirements but we recommend working individuals take one course each semester while full-time students take no more than 3. Each course will require at least 10 hours of work and study each week.

Tuition fees for most BUSI courses are $545.00 per course for early registration, $595 regular price. This covers all materials fees for most courses, but there are a small number of courses that require additional textbooks or software.
