Description:
Analyze, organize, and conduct research and environmental scanning used in the preparation of the branch business plan.
Identify, analyze and recommend the validity of pursuing major changes in direction and/or business development opportunities, including how proposed changes will affect operations and policy.
Lead and manage the work of project teams.
Identify best practices and benchmarks for improving the branch effectiveness and efficiency, internally and externally.
Organize and conduct customer and employee research and/or select and manage contractual services to carry out surveys and research on behalf of section and/or branch. Prepare reports and present findings.
Analyze and organize branch information, disseminate and explain impact on services, operations, IT, HR, and marketing.
Qualifications:
University degree in business, planning, a scientific field or a related degree.
Four years of project management, research and analytical experience as well as synthesizing information into reports.
Considerable knowledge of research techniques, analysis procedures and ability to distill large amounts of information into key findings.
Knowledge of business case analysis, including basic knowledge of operations, finance, information technology, human resources and marketing.
Business development and planning experience is an asset.
Experience in leading multi-functional teams.
Very Good analytical and organization skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely in reports and presentations.
Advanced computer skills including Word and Excel.
Experience with research software.
HOURS OF WORK: 33.75 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Hours of work may be subject to the terms and conditions of a variable hours of work program.
SALARY RANGE: 21M, Salary Grade: 030, $33.999 - $42.960 (Hourly), $2,294.93 - $2,899.80 (Bi-Weekly), $59,897.74 - $75,684.78 (Annually). The rates quoted are in accordance with a collective agreement between the Union and the City of Edmonton.
