As a member of the Market Research Team within the Policy and Research section you will provide primary and secondary market research support to the Community Services Department.
The Market Planner I will be responsible for supporting strategic market research for Community Services Department, its Branches and Sections
In conjunction with a Market Research Consultant, you will create online surveys and execute them to target audiences, as well as collect and transfer data to SPSS format, analyze data & produce reports
Conduct secondary research including e-scanning, best practice reviews and demographic/trend analysis
Provide survey data entry and perform statistical analysis including table and chart generation .
In a professional research manner, complete benchmark research with internal and external stakeholders, gathering data related to fee structure, product usage, business practices, market trends, competition activities, hours of operation and best practices
Actively work within a Department focus/approach for future business development.
Qualifications:
Completion of a university degree in Commerce or related technical fields with major course work in marketing research.
Minimum two (2) years' marketing experience.
Experience in developing and managing research and evaluation technology, data entry and advanced statistical analysis coupled with the ability to create professional reports and presentations.
Working knowledge and direct experience with Microsoft Access and statistical software.
Hours of Work: 33.75 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Hours of work may be subject to the terms and conditions of a variable hours of work program.
Salary Range: 21M, Salary Grade: 022, $28.702 - $35.861 (Hourly), $1,937.39 - $2,420.62 (Bi-Weekly), $50,565.75 - $63,178.12 (Annually). The rates quoted are in accordance with a collective agreement between the Union and the City of Edmonton.

Hello,
I live next to Silver Spring. I was working at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring. I love Maryland, I have been coming here since 1984. Montgomery County has the best school district. Silver Spring is in Montgomery County. I live in Bowie, Prince Georges County.The best places are the Beverly hills of MD Potomac,Bethesda and then you have Rockville, Germantown, Gaithersburg, Beltsville,Laurel just to name a few places. House prices depends on the county you live in. Examples are Montgomery County cost the highest, then Prince Georges county are way cheaper,Howard County, Anne Arundel county,Calvert County, Baltimore County, Charles County and St. Mary's County...... Charles and St. Mary's counrty are the cheapest. They are in Southern MD. The closer you are to DC suburbs the price is high. House prices have dropped, so you would get a great deal on property now. My house was valued 455,000.00 but now it is only $330.00. When I bought it nine years ago, I paid $118.500. Not bad. But see people selling Houses from $50,000.00 and up. Anyway take care, write to me soon.

Hours of work:33.75 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Hours of work may be subject to the terms and conditions of a variable hours of work program.

Description:
The Finance Department requires an individual to provide effective financial services with an emphasis on customer service. Duties of this position include:
Assisting with updating and maintaining of capital asset records for Mobile Equipment.
Providing superior customer service to Mobile Equipment Services Branch.
Reviewing, monitoring and analyzing revenues and expenses.
Developing, preparing and analyzing financial data for fluctuations, changes and trends.
Preparing and providing information to program managers including monthly and year-end financial statements and variances explanations.
Developing and working with forecasts, budgets and projections.
Working individually or in a team on specialized projects and performing special studies to aid in management decision making.
Performing other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
An Accounting Certificate from a recognized technical school or college.
One (1) year of experience in an office environment preferably performing accounting functions.
A working knowledge of Microsoft Office software especially Excel.
SAP (Systems, Application and Products) experience would be an asset.
Demonstrated ability to plan, co-ordinate and follow-up work or assigned tasks.
Knowledge of accepted accounting principles, requirements and practices.
Ability to communicate effectively and maintain working relationships with levels of management and non-management personnel.
Strong customer service focus.
Where appropriate, applicants may be required to participate in job specific tests.
Hours of Work: 33.75 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Hours of work may be subject to the terms and conditions of a variable hours of work program.
Salary Range: 21M, Salary Grade: 013, $20.86 - $26.18 (Hourly), $1,407.85- $1,766.81 (Bi-Weekly), $36,744.82 - $46,113.81 (Annually). The rates quoted are in accordance with a collective agreement between the Union and the City of Edmonton.
